The hotel chain wanted to develop a Christmas campaign in order to promote all of their hotels in Paris and increase engagement and interaction between the French public and the brand. The campaign used the tradition of Santa Claus to create a game to be played on social networks.
Arroba created a fun campaign in which each of the 5 Meliá hotels based in Paris participated. We developed a simple game played by using a .GIF to advertise each of the hotels during this season.
In each of the Paris hotel Facebook profiles, a .GIF was posted in which the user could see an animated picture of the hotel and Santa Claus appearing and disappearing through the windows. The users were challenged to try to locate Santa and pause the .GIF when he appeared. Once located, users were asked to upload a screen shot of the result. Those one who managed to do so could then choose from different prizes.
